ZCCM Investment Holding (IH) Cement has had to defend the construction of a US$600m cement plant in Masaiti District on the Copperbelt province, Zambia. Zambia-based Ndola Lime Company (NLC) has commenced discussions with potential partners for a joint venture cement plant project on the Copperbelt.
